Watch over thy child Betsy, O Lord, as her days increase; bless and
guide her wherever he may be. Strengthen her when she stands;
comfort her when discouraged or sorrowful; raise her up if she falls;
and in her heart may thy peace which
passes understanding abide all the days of her life;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
I will pray this prayer for you on July 14th. It is from the Episcopal prayer book. It is the one my father said at every family birthday celebration. And it is the one I use in my church congregations.
I send gratitude to you for your contributions of musical and organizational skill, and for your care and precision in building community. I appreciate you very much!
with blessing upon your day and your life,

To Aunt Betsy:
You are surely one of the most clear-headed, positive thinking, well-organized persons I’ve ever known. I’ve so enjoyed our occasional email exchanges and reunion celebration conversations. Being in your presence is being awash in human kindness. Thank you for modeling the richness of life for all who know you.

Betsy,
Have a very safe and happy 90th birthday. I look forward to many more years of singing with you, because you are the most enthusiastic, healthiest, most full-of-life person I know, and one whom I am proud and grateful to call my friend.
With virtual hugs,
Priscilla Stevens
Happy happy birthday, Betsy!!!
The first time I was in awe of you was, when I learnt that YOU are the photographer of the huge and beautiful and unusual view of the Niagara Falls in one of the hallways of Newbury Court. Many more “awes” followed, mostly resulting from pertinent questions coming from you during chorus rehearsal. And now, the big hammer: your 90th birthday!!!
My fondest congratulations and many wishes for years of content enjoyment to come, Betsy!
Love
Birgit
